Mark S. Nemeth graduated cum laude in 1987 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1993, where he earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Ethics and in Secured Transactions. Mr. Nemeth is admitted to practice in New York State and Federal Courts. He is a member of the NY and Erie County Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the New York Magistrate’s Association.

Since being admitted to practice in NY State, Mr. Nemeth has tried cases arising out of premises liability, product liability, motor vehicle negligence and nursing home negligence. Mr. Nemeth’s practice currently focuses on litigating and managing asbestos-related claims in NY involving lung-cancer and mesothelioma for several local and national clients.

Mark serves his community in a number of ways. In 2019, Mark was elected Town Justice in his hometown of Grand Island, NY. Until then, Mark had been the Grand Island Town Prosecutor for the past 15 years. In that role, he had tried nearly a hundred cases involving vehicle and traffic violations, NY and town building and zoning code violations, and violations involving NY Penal Law. Mark is and has been actively involved in his community and children’s schools. Until being elected as Town Justice, Mark was a member of the Grand Island Traffic and Safety Advisory Board. He has also coached soccer for the Grand Island Soccer Club, where he is a past board member, and for St. Stephen’s Elementary School. When he has time, he enjoys playing soccer, reading, and following the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills.
