Matthew J. Kibler

Matthew J. Kibler is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Canisius College. Matthew majored in Political Science and International Relations, and was a member of the All College Honors Program. Upon graduation, Matthew received the Woodrow Wilson Political Science Award, which is given every year to a graduating student who combines academic achievement with a demonstrated commitment to public service. During law school, Matthew served as President of the Buffalo Moot Court Board. He concentrates his practice in insurance defense and professional liability litigation, which includes the defense of medical facilities and medical professionals. He frequently works with medical providers to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Matthew is active in the local community. He is a volunteer martial arts instructor, and previously served as a Commissioner on the Erie County Charter Revision Commission. Matthew is currently a director on the Erie County Stadium Corporation, the entity that oversees Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Lauren A. Heimer

Lauren A. Heimer graduated with honors from the University of Vermont in 2008. Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo Law School in 2012. While in law school, Lauren spent a semester in New York City with UB’s New York City Program in Finance and Law, spent two semesters clerking for the New York State Supreme Court 8th Judicial District, interned for a local non-profit redevelopment organization, and clerked for a local defense firm. Since joining Feldman Kieffer, Lauren focuses primarily on insurance defense litigation, including medical malpractice and employment law. She also has experience in small claims, mental hygiene mediation and trials, professional liability, and general counseling to health care professionals and institutions. Lauren has given presentations on employment law and medical malpractice. She has a volunteer appointment with the University at Buffalo Department of Psychiatry for the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship. Lauren was also selected as one of Super Lawyer’s 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Upstate New York Rising Stars.

Alexis M. Florczak

Alexis M. Florczak graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo in 2013. She majored in Political Science, with a focus in American Government. In 2018, Alexis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, completing a concentration in health law with honors. While in law school, Alexis worked as a law clerk in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation’s Law Department, and as a certified legal intern in the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic Center. She also served as Editor-in-Chief and Publications Editor of Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine, the school’s health law journal, of which she is also a published author. Alexis is a member of the Order of the Coif, a national honor society for law school graduates in the top ten percent of their graduating class. Since joining Feldman Kieffer, Alexis focuses primarily on health law matters, including medical malpractice defense, nursing home negligence, professional liability, and general counseling to health care professionals and institutions. She also has experience in corporate formation and governance, contract preparation, and general litigation.

Sarah N. Rodman

Sarah N. Rodman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Daemen College in 2013 as a Trustee’s Scholar. She majored in Political Science, with minors in Spanish language and Pre-law studies. In 2016, Sarah graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, obtaining her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. Sarah has previously worked as a Consumer Mediator in the Consumer Frauds Department in the Office of the Attorney General, and served as an Assistant to the Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs at the American Bar Association in Washington, DC. Sarah has trial attorney experience handling insurance defense and toxic tort matters, trademark and copyright issues, as well as corporation formation. Currently, Sarah’s practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice defense. In addition, Sarah has extensive foreign language experiences, which she continues to study and practice, including Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese. Sarah is active in the local theater community, and is a professionally trained vocalist.
