 Mr. Matthews graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia with combined LLB and Finance/Commerce degrees, completing his studies at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in New York State Courts as well as the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of New York.
 Outside of his legal work, Ean enjoys sailing (and lives aboard his Beneteau 50) and skiing and is heavily involved in philanthropic work including criminal justice, music, scientific health-related research, youth mental health and veteran support.
